Do It Now!

Never take time for granted-life can change in the blink of an eye as we all know and we all know of others (maybe even ourselves) who find themselves situations they hadn’t anticipated be that health related or otherwise.

 

Life can be like going shopping. If you don’t have a list before you go, you end up leaving without the stuff you want and with a load of stuff you don’t want.

 

We all have our hopes and dreams. Maybe it’s a holiday you want to take, a book you want to write, a song you want to sing, a skill you want to learn, a relationship you want to heal, and the health and fitness dreams we have; lbs to lose, feel more confident, feel fitter, be more energised, be able to run with the kids or grandchildren. Big birthday’s, weddings, family celebrations, reunions; can often be a big motivating factor in getting us moving towards our goals. But without those big motivators, how do we get moving?  How do we get up and off the sofa and take action?

 

We are all capable of procrastinating, me included! Past master me! But what do we lose potentially by not taking action? We’re always living in tomorrow and putting it off and saying ‘when so and so happens, I’ll do it’… Well whatever it is you’re waiting to happen, may never happen… and you’ll have wasted time waiting to embark on that healthier lifestyle, eating well plan, exercising to beat the kids running, getting into that slinky dress, whatever it is for you. All the while, you could have stolen a march and could actually have achieved your goals by now! Never take time for granted.

 

The book of Proverbs says, “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.” And if you need further proof, just look at our daily headlines, look at those you know whose lives have changed... Life can change in the blink of an eye. Start taking action now, tomorrow is not a guarantee for any of us and the more we procrastinate, the more potentially we have to lose!

 

So if your goal is fitness related, do not let the ‘season’ detract you any longer from where you want to be, what you want to achieve… There are just 2 bank holidays during the course of this month, leaving you plenty of time to embark on your journey…. And if that means eating healthily it doesn’t mean you still can’t indulge in all those lovely foods and drinks during the festive period... with a little help you can still achieve your goals… want to know more?
